Start of semester lab outing

International Heroes

Not all heroes wear capes, some wear lab coats. The Abuelo lab successfully defeated Fidel Castro on Friday, January 21, 2022 in a daring feat that required quick thinking, thorough investigative skills, but not punctuality. On a recent lab outing Abuelo lab members stumbled upon Fidel Castro’s office, after realizing his villainous plan to launch nuclear missiles our team could not just stand by and let Fidel cause mass destruction. Together as a team we were able to prevent a Cuban Crisis in which Fidel Castro was planning a nuclear assault that could have globally devastating consequences. As part of our mission we were required to decode numerous clues, perform meticulous mathematical calculations, blindly execute feats of electrical engineering. Alone we would never have been able to accomplish such achievements but together with teamwork and perseverance we saved the thousands of innocent lives from being lost. In honor of such heroic feats the Abuelo lab is being the presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom by John F. Kennedy (see picture). Overall, this experience was a terrific team building exercise for the Abuelo lab and we cannot wait to do another escape room soon!
